Rising 9th Grader Dates

Friday, March 2 – WVMS 8th Grade Field Trip to their zoned high school *

* NOTE – Students applying for transfer will attend visit to their zoned high school as of March 2

Monday, March 5 – BHS Rising 9th Grade Parent Night @BHS – 6pm-8pm

***Please visit each high school website for up-to-date information regarding rising 9th graders and important upcoming dates***


WVMS New Teacher Voicemail Extensions

Parents can look at the “Quick Link” section on the right hand side of the school webpage and click on Teacher Voicemail Extensions to see a list of teachers and their extensions.  Then when calling West Valley can press 9 and follow the instructions to leave a voicemail for their student’s teacher.

Help Keep the WVMS Office Germ Free

As you can imagine, it takes a lot of cleaning to keep the WVMS front office germ free. If you and your family are able, the office staff would greatly appreciate any hand sanitizer, Clorox wipes, Kleenex, computer screen cleaner, and paper towel donations. Thank you!!


Yearbook Orders

Wednesday, February 28 is the last day to order a yearbook for the 2017-2018 school year. If you have any yearbook questions, please email Ms. Webster at:



2018 WVMS Track Tryouts

Try-outs will begin on Tuesday, 2/20, after school. A physical form must be on file with Coaches West and Blair to participate in try-outs.

Physical forms can be found in Mrs. West’s office or download HERE.


Semi-Formal Valentine’s Dance sponsored by Student Council

The Valentine’s Dance has been rescheduled for Friday, 2/23. The 6th grade dance will be from 4:30-6pm and 7th and 8th grade dance from 6:30-8pm.

Tickets are $5 and will be sold outside of the cafeteria from 8:00am-8:25am.  Ticket sales will conclude after 12:30pm on Friday, 2/23.

Treats for Troops

Treats for Troops is a yearlong Student Council project that’s aimed at providing treats for those that serve our country. If you are able to donate any non-meltable snacks please send them into school after each break (Fall, Holiday, and Spring) and the Student Council will make sure that are passed along to our troops.

Note: It takes 2 weeks for items to reach the base and they need to be donated in boxes.

Examples of treats: Goldfish, peanut butter crackers, beef jerky, energy bars, gum, mints
