WVMS Foundation

November 2016
Dear WVMS parent:
This time of year parents realize there is no turning back the clock on middle school. Sixth graders have found their classes and are learning that they are being allowed more freedom than ever before; seventh graders continue to spread their wings as they have hit their middle school groove; and eighth graders are delighted to finally be the “big kids on the block”. We’re past fall break and heading into the mid-year holiday season. And, it’s the time of year the WVMS Education Foundation requests an annual gift from parents and guardians to further impact our kids.

Last school year the Foundation awarded grants to assist every grade level and every academic discipline area. Support included enhancements to update and purchase software (including BrainPop and IXL – every student loves these J), STEM related materials, and an online music theory program.

This year we want to be in a position to support even more requests through our awards program. Would you and/or your business please consider a philanthropic gift to support West Valley needs in the classroom and student extra-curricular activities? Suggested giving levels can be found on the website http://www.wvmsfoundation.org/. All gifts* are tax-deductible and donors will be recognized in printed communications. Your investment makes a huge difference!

On behalf of the students and faculty at West Valley Middle School, thank you!

Keith Barber

President, WVMS Education Foundation
